The Department of Veteran Affairs offers certain benefits and services to honor our Nation's deceased veterans. These include:
o The VA provides a PMC for eligible recipients.
- Burial in VA National Cemetery
- Reimbursement of Burial Expenses
o The VA generally pays a burial allowance of $2,000 for veterans who die of service-related causes. For other veterans, the VA pays $300 for burial & funeral expenses and $300 for a plot in a non-VA cemetery.
