Juanita Irene Ferrero
November 18, 1940 – January 22, 2026
Juanita (Nita) Irene Ferrero, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Nita was born on November 18, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, she moved to Florida, where she made her home and built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Nita was a woman with many passions and a vibrant spirit. She enjoyed gambling, painting, golfing, and knitting—hobbies that reflected both her adventurous side and her creative heart. She also had a deep love for animals, and her kindness toward them reflected the warmth and compassion she showed to everyone around her. Whether she was working on a new craft, spending time on the golf course, or enjoying a favorite pastime, Nita brought joy and energy to everything she did.
She is survived by her two daughters, Victoria Perini and Pamela Prohaska, and her son-in-law, Thomas Prohaska. She was a proud grandmother to her three granddaughters, Amanda Leines (Jon Leines), Taylor Batties (Mark Batties), and Morgan Prohaska, and a loving great-grandmother to four great-grandsons (Mark, Klay, Walker and Bowen) who brought her immense pride and happiness.
Nita will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, her strength, and the light she brought to all who knew her.
At her request, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor her memory through a donation to your favorite charity or by doing an act of kindness in her name.
