Azucena Velazquez (Suzy), passed away in Miami, Florida on July 14, 2023, at the age of 79.
Suzy is survived by her son Marcos and daughter Damaris. She is also survived by her ex-husband Angel, grandsons Jorge and Gabriel, and granddaughter Delilah. Suzy was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on June 3, 1944. She attended Universidad de Guayaquil where she earned her Juris Doctor. She was a devout Christian, a loving mother, a caring grandmother, and a loving caregiver to her two cats, Nina and Garfield. Her children remember her as a caring mother who sacrificed a great deal for them to pursue a better life. She was greatly loved by her family and friends. She touched the lives of many with her enthusiasm and kindness. She will be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held for her at Landmark Funeral Home on Sunday, August 13 th at 12pm.
