Bruce William Kelley

Bruce William Kelley passed away at home on May 25, 2024 after an uphill battle with cancer. He was 63. He was born October 30, 1960 and raised in Lancaster, PA by William and Irene Kelley. He was a proud Eagle Scout and graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA. He attended Virginia Military Institute, and later graduated from Bethany College in Bethany, WV where he was a third generation member of Beta Theta Pi. Bruce obtained an MBA from Nova Southeastern University in 1998 and was a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society.
Bruce moved to Birmingham, AL for a short time after college and was transferred by his employer, Mac Papers, to Miami where he met his future wife, Nancy. They were married in October of 1989 and raised two children, Megan and Sean. Bruce worked as a Financial Advisor and Salesman throughout his working career and retired in October 2023. He was an Assistant Scoutmaster for troop 183 from 2006-2012. Bruce was social and a jokester; he loved collecting stamps, coins, sports memorabilia, and tchotchkes for his backyard chickee hut. The Kelley family, with Bruce and his wit at the helm, loved traveling in their pop-up campers, preparing homemade meals, and playing board games together for many years. He is dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
Bruce will be remembered by his wife Nancy (Kinas); daughter, Megan; son, Sean; sister, Sandy Law and father, William Kelley.
A memorial service in honor of Bruce will be held at Community Church of Davie (6500 SW 47th St., 33314) on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 3pm.
