CHARLES E. PAOLI, JR.

October 13, 1925 - August 27, 2022

CHARLES E. PAOLI, JR., age 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2022 surrounded by his family. Born October 13, 1925, in Yonkers, New York, Charles moved to Hollywood after his service in the U.S. Navy and was a pioneer of Hollywood, Florida since 1946. He fought in World War II in both Europe and the Asiatic Pacific. 
After his discharge from the service, he entered the University of Miami. There he received his undergraduate and law degrees. Charles then practiced law with his brother August C. Paoli until he retired at age 88.
He was a member of many professional and social organizations such as The Florida Bar, Kiwanis Club of Hollywood and the Hundred Club of Broward County to name a few. He was known as Charlie to his friends, colleagues and clients. After sailing several years as a pharmacist’s mate on Navy ships he vowed to return to many areas he fought to preserve. He and his wife Eleanor traveled the world to fulfill his wishes and create many new memories.
Charles is predeceased by his son Gerald Richard “Ricky” Paoli and stepdaughter Lauren Robinson. He is survived by Eleanor, his beloved wife of 54 years. His loving sons Christopher and (Gay), Charles E.III and (Flora), stepdaughter Lynn Berry, devoted grandchildren Lisa M. Paoli, Kristen A. Paoli, Rachael (Tulga) Demir, Charles E. (Nicole) Paoli IV, Richard “Richie” Robinson and Richard “Ricky” Paoli, his adoring great-grandchildren Elisia M. Paoli, Charles E. Paoli V, Giovanni Paoli Fernandez, Cain Paoli, Mia Paoli, Aiden Demir, Anastasia Paoli, Ella Demir and Alayah Paoli.
The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at Landmark Funeral Home, 4200 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, FL on Thursday, September 1, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Mass will be held at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood on Friday, September 2, at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens East.
