DIANE JOY AVELLA, 81, devoted mother and grandmother of Hollywood, passed away December 23, 2022. A native Floridian, Diane was born October 15, 1941, to Percy and Juanita Scott.
She cherished her grandchildren and had a fondness for animals, especially her dog, Bentley. Her love for children led her to working many years in an elementary school. She was also an avid reader and loved books about celebrities.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband Anthony and is survived by sons Paul (Tammy) and David (Susan) and six grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 7, at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood.
