Eddy Maria Garcia, 87, loving mother, grandmother and friend, went to her heavenly home on September 27, 2023.
Originally from Cuba, Eddy worked many years as the family caretaker, caring for and teaching the children of the family in New York. She later moved to South Florida and worked the clothing manufacturing industry while raising her family. Survived by sons Oscar (Barbara) Quintanal and Bernardo (Yolanda) Quintanal; daughter Lourdes “Gigi” Ojeda (Shawn Lipka); sisters Iris Fe “Morena” and Mayra; grandchildren Gina Cabrera, Jason, Crystal, Justin and Ivy Quintanal and great granddaughter Ava Mia Lopez. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, with a 2:00 pm Celebration of Life service at Landmark Funeral Home, 4200 Hollywood Boulevard.
