Gilbert J. Chacon

June 4, 1945 - October 8, 2022

Gilbert John Chacon, 77 yrs of Lake Placid, Florida passed away October 8th, 2022.   Born June 4, 1945, to Perceverado Chacon and Angelica Salazar in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam war. His passion for aviation blazed a successful career as a commercial pilot. Gilbert loved testing his limits which lead to many successful adventures including becoming a licensed General Contractor, CDL owner operator and countless other successful businesses throughout his life. Gilbert was truly an amazing man, and his energy would fill any room. He will continue to live on in our memories and will be loved and never forgotten.   Gilbert leaves many to cherish his memory; wife of 55 years Aida Chacon, Three sons Erik, Brian, & Tony, grandchildren, Melany, Kayla, Olivia, & Tyler. As well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
