Howard S. Ambos, known to friends as "Howie," passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Sunrise, Florida at the age of 74. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived a full and vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Howard was an outgoing and strong individual who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Ambos, but is survived by his loving son, Brian Ambos (Laura), daughter, Lisa Yazici (Pooch), his cherished grandsons Kevin (Melissa) and Justin Yazici (Alexis), Louis Ambos, and Lily Ambos. His great-grandchildren Ariella, Luka Yazici, and Isabella brought him immense joy and pride and he looked forward to his facetime visits with them.
Howard was a dedicated Army veteran and pursued various careers throughout his life, including working as a Limousine Driver, Carpenter, and Drivers Ed Instructor. His passion for life extended beyond his work, as he was known for his exceptional dancing skills, love of card games, and his deep appreciation for horses. Howard had a talent for making people laugh with his jokes and always sought to be the center of attention. He was unapologetically himself, never hesitating to speak his mind and stand up for what he believed in.
In addition to his family, Howard is survived by his mother, Sarah (Sally) Bellucci, and siblings Rona Asaro (Tony), Iris Pergola, Robert Bellucci (Lina), and Denise Bellucci. He shared a special bond with each of them, creating lifelong memories filled with love and laughter.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Landmark Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.
The legacy of Howard Ambos will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
