Jacqueline Marie Leone

April 6, 1936 - June 2, 2024

Jacqueline "Jackie" Leone was born on April 6, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, to Helen Gumowski (Hughes) and Edwin Nolan. Jackie's best friend throughout life was Mary Pascucci (Carlone). At the age of 19, she married Mary’s brother, Louis "Gino" Carlone, and together they had six daughters. Jackie spent many years working at Grumman in Bethpage, NY, for the Department of Defense. Known for her strong work ethic, she often held multiple jobs simultaneously.   Later in life, Jackie fulfilled her lifelong dream of moving to Florida, where she lived for nearly 40 years. During her retirement, she enjoyed playing Bingo and even worked at the Bingo hall, considering her colleagues there her second family. Jackie was a resilient fighter who survived several bouts of cancer over the years. In this last year and a half, she returned to New York to live with her daughter, Linda, in Valley Stream. Her cancer resumed, and she lost the battle and passed away at the age of 88.   Jacqueline was preceded in death by her daughter Gina, her sister Patricia Nolan, and her sister Karen Villa. She is survived by her daughters Deborah, Linda, Laura, Kathleen, and Adrienne; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by countless friends and extended relatives. Services will be held on June 9, 2024, at Landmark Funeral Home, 4200 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, Florida 33021. A gathering will take place from 1 PM to 4 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 1:30 PM.
