Jane R. Gambardella

Jane (Jean) Rodger Gambardella, 87, of Dania Beach, FL, peacefully passed away May 9, 2023, with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Robert and Margaret Rodger on June 9, 1935, in Glasgow, Scotland. Jane married Frank Gambardella on September 7, 1959, in East Haven, CT, where they lived briefly before moving to Jacksonville, FL, then Hollywood, FL and finally relocating to Dania Beach, FL.
Jane is survived by two children; Elaine Gambardella-Martin (Ron) of Davie, FL and Steven Gambardella (Kaki) of Fort Lauderdale, FL., and her beloved grandchildren; Ryan Martin, Steven Gambardella JR, and Gavin Gambardella. Jane was predeceased by her eldest son, Frank Gambardella in 1994.
Jane was a communicant at Nativity Catholic Church. She, with her husband Frank, spent many enjoyable years volunteering at the Church and at the Nativity Elementary School. Working with the children was always a joy for her. Jane lived a long and full life. She was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother. Family is what she valued and cherished most throughout her lifetime. Jane was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She loved with all of her heart and she leaves behind wonderful and beautiful memories to all that knew her.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 12:00pm, at the Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson St. Hollywood, FL. Immediately following the mass will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the Tropical Acres Steakhouse, 2500 Griffin Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL. The family asks relatives and friends to join them in remembering Jane and share favorite memories and joyful moments.
