John J. Bruns Jr., 66, of Pembroke Pines, FL, a retired longshoreman, passed away February 19, 2023, peacefully at home.
Born July 30, 1956, in Staten Island, NY to John Sr. and Rita VanderWyde Bruns, the family moved to Hollywood, FL in 1968. A genuinely good man, he enjoyed spending time with his cherished daughter, attending concerts, traveling, golfing, watching football, and never shying away from a good time. Kind-hearted and full of love, he leaves behind precious memories in countless lives.
John is survived by his mother Rita, wife Lourdes, daughter Kathleen, brothers Robbie, Eddie, and Gary, and sisters Debbie, Tina, and Kim.
The family will be receiving friends on Sunday February 26 th from 1PM-5PM with prayer service at 3:30PM, at Landmark Funeral Home, 4200 Hollywood Blvd.
Memorial and Graveside Service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Ft. Lau derdale, FL. on Friday, March 17th, 2023 at 11:30 am.
