Joshua David Hackett, age 31, passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2023, in Fort Myers, Florida.
Joshua is survived by his children Aaralyn (6 years old) and Raiden Hackett (4 years old) (and their mother Jayme Bautista), his father David Hackett and stepmother Jennifer Hackett of Boca Raton, FL, and his mother Susan Compton and stepfather Richard Compton of Hollywood, FL. He is also survived by stepsisters Alyssa Doerr of Boca Raton, FL, Hillary Houdek of Longmont, CO and Jocelyn Compton of Miami, FL, stepbrother Nicholas Bois of Burnsville, NC, grandmother (Meemaw) Jerry Hackett of Dania, FL and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Joshua is preceded in death by grandfather (Peepaw) John Hackett, grandmother (Ama) Donna Consiglio, grandfather (Paw) Sam Consiglio and cousin Rachel Hackett.
Joshua graduated from South Broward High School in Hollywood, FL and attended classes at Florida International University. Josh’s PC Repair has helped many people with their computer issues since 2012 (including his family). He worked most recently at the Parks at Murano Apartment Complex in Fort Myers, serving on their maintenance team where he developed many good and loving friendships.
Joshua trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord in 2012, was baptized in 2013, and attended Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale for many years. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed playing video games and Pokémon with friends. Most of all he was an incredible father and loved his precious children Aaralyn and Raiden, who were the light of his life.
A viewing is scheduled for August 31, 2023, from 6-9pm at Landmark Funeral Home 4200 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, FL. Joshua’s life will be celebrated in a Memorial Service at 11am on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Sheridan Hills Baptist Church Chapel, 3751 Sheridan Street, Hollywood, FL. Private burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a GoFundMe account in his memory to help pay for his children’s college expenses.
