Julia “Julie” Ann Nelson

November 5, 1960 - August 25, 2023

Julia “Julie” Ann Nelson (Housey) , 62, of Wellington, formerly of Hollywood, passed away peacefully August 25, 2023. Voted "best sense of humor" at her alma mater South Broward High School, Julie filled every room she entered with love. Her quick wit and sense of humor made her the life of many parties and endeared her to all who she encountered. Julie obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her MBA from Barry University, before pursuing a career in finance. But despite Julie's professional successes, her most cherished title was being a mom. Julie also enjoyed many hobbies, but none greater than her love of animals - particularly the countless horses, dogs, and even one pig she raised and cared for throughout her life. Julie's spirit was infectious and she will be dearly missed. Julie is survived by daughter Jordan (Elliot); brother Joseph (Liz); sister Siba (Wayne) and nephews Joseph, John, Kyle and Christian. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, August 29th, 5:00pm - 7:00pm, at the Landmark Funeral Home in Hollywood.
