Leandro Andres Miguel Feliciano Gonzalez, age 77, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away on April 26, 2026.
Leandro is survived by his wife, Marysel Quintero; his children, Leandro Michael Gonzalez (Karin), Maria Schroeder (David), Ash Gonzalez, and his stepson, Andrew Guerra (Jen); his grandchildren, Britni Diaz, Alanna Gonzalez, Brandon Gonzalez, Alina Cabrera, Joaquin Guerra, and Julian Guerra; and his great-grandchildren, Tyler Diaz Jr. and Havana Diaz. He is also lovingly remembered by his former wife, Maria Tio Gonzalez, with whom he shared many years and a lasting bond of friendship and respect throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ana Luisa Gomez and Andres Miguel Gonzalez; and brother, David Gonzalez.
Leandro was born on March 13, 1949, in Havana, Cuba, to Sagrada Ana Luisa Gomez and Andres Miguel Gonzalez. As a teenager, he immigrated to the United States, where he built a life defined by hard work and dedication. He was an entrepreneur in the carpet industry before going on to have a long and successful career with the Post Office. Throughout his life, he faithfully served in various clergy and leadership roles within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, never turning down an opportunity to help others. His generosity truly knew no bounds.
Leandro was a man who cared deeply for his loved ones and devoted his life to being a disciple of Jesus Christ. He was known for his booming laughter, charitable spirit, love of Elvis, and his gift for making everyone feel welcome. His signature corny jokes never failed to bring smiles to those around him. He had a deep passion for genealogy and spent countless hours researching, preserving, and documenting his family’s history. Above all else, what stood out most about Leandro was his unwavering love for his family.
In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral service was held on May 1 at Fred Hunter Cemetery in Hollywood, Florida. The family sincerely thanks all who have shared their love, kindness, and support in honoring Leandro’s life.
