Lolive Pierre-Louis

Author name

November 2, 1940 - June 2, 2023

Lolive Champagne Pierre-Louis was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti on November 2, 1940.  Lolive developed her love for the church as a young child attending the Roman Catholic Church in Haiti and as a girl scout.  Lolive's kindness and caring were nurtured through her involvement in the church.  As an adult she became the principal organizer of church functions and trips to prominent Roman Catholic churches throughout the world.  She also made personal pilgrimages to many places including Jerusalem, Spain, Paris and the Vatican.
Many years later Lolive emigrated to the United States.  She pursued a career with the NYS Insurance Fund and DMV while raising her three beautiful children:  Michael, Danny and Gerald.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren: GJ and Logan.  Lolive was the matriarch of the family and was respected and loved by everyone.  Lolive also enjoyed her special occasion activities such as dances and weddings at the church and being dressed to the nines for these activities.  She was instrumental in assisting her family and friends with emigration from Haiti and settling in New York.
Lolive retired early in 1997 and moved to Miramar, Florida where she became a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.  She volunteered for many church groups including the Legion of Mary and was a Eucharistic Minister.
Lolive was granted her angel wings on June 2, 2023.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.  She will forever be remembered as the loving mother, grandmother and kind person whose kindness was experienced by all those who crossed her path.
Lolive Pierre Louis is survived by her children Michael, Danny and Gerald (Beth), grandchildren Gerald Jr. and Logan, nephew and nieces Alex Champagne Jr., Alexandra, Lisa and Melissa and a host of cousins and friends.
