Mr. Philip Andrew Gibson passed away peacefully at his home on March 2, 2024 in Oakland Park, FL at the age of 54. Philip is survived by his mother Mary L. Gibson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his aunt Peggy Milligan of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his Father David H. Gibson of Cheverly, MD his only sibling Robert D. Gibson of Fort Lauderdale, FL and his only nephew Zachary Gibson. He was also survived by his aunts and uncles Gail Lucas, Barbara & Michael Kovac, Richard & Janet Gibson, Dorothy and Randy Ghilarducci and their children; and cousins Shelly Agnes (and Brooke & T.J. Agnes), Andy Lucas (and Alex & Ashley Lucas), Karen Kovac, Eric Rasmussen, Jeff & Mark Gibson and & Matt & Mark Ghilarducci.
Philip was born in 1969 in Silver Spring, MD to Mary and David Gibson. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1991 with a degree in Political Science. After moving back to Fort Lauderdale, FL, Philip worked in a variety of positions in the Financial Services Market. He joined Newbridge Financial Services where he held several positions, most recently as the Customer Experience Manager.
Philip was accomplished as a Financial Planner and over the years helped countless people organize their finances and plan for their future retirement. He was an extraordinary and giving man who always put the needs of others before his own. Family was always the most important thing to him. He made everyone feel comfortable and included and always brought everyone together, especially at holidays and family gatherings. Philip was thoughtful, considerate, passionate and made a meaningful impact on the lives of everyone around him. God has gained a special angel and Philip’s memory will be in the heart and soul of all that he has touched.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Bernadette; Catholic Church at 7450 Stirling Road in Hollywood, FL on Monday March 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
