Reidelisia Zorrilla

July 12, 1937 - December 8, 2023

Reidelisia Zorrilla of Surfside, Florida passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023. She was born in Cuba to the late Rosa Carrazana and Bernabe Rojas on July 12, 1937. She came to New Jersey in 1954, soon after marrying her beloved husband, the late Manuel Zorrilla. The couple enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Reidelisia was a devoted mother to their two daughters, Gisele and Lilian. She was an accomplished seamstress, earned her credentials in patternmaking and fashion design, and worked in New York City's fashion district for many years. Reidelisia later studied to become a licensed beautician and esthetician. She started her own business, Regili, a cosmetics and perfume establishment in New York City, where she worked until her retirement.
Reidelisia is survived by her children: Gisele and her husband, Dr. Frank Casella, and Dr. Lilian Zorrilla and her husband, Michael Rovi, and by her grandchildren: Stephanie Rovi, Frank Gregory Casella, Nicole Rovi Carr and her husband, Nick Carr, and Alex Matthew Casella. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. There will be a mass of remembrance on December 18th at 11am at Nativity Catholic Church in Hollywood, Florida. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery in Doral, Florida.
