Richard Thompson Sr of Hollywood passed away on July 22, 2022. He was born in Dalton, Georgia and moved to South Florida in 1962. He was a resident of Margate for over 40 years and recently moved to Hollywood to be closer to his family. He was proceeded in death by his son Randall Thompson; his parents Sewell Thompson and Glendora McHan and his sisters Gloria Horton, Jeanette Edmondson, Glenda Haggard, and Deborah Powell. He is survived by his sons Richard Thompson Jr, Ronald (Carrie) Thompson, daughter Rhonda (Marc) Potvin; grandchildren Katrina Thompson, Shayla Thompson, Madisyn Thompson, Mason Potvin, and Jaxson Potvin; great grandchildren Isabella and Naiya Cuadra and siblings Betty (Ray) Scott, Carl (Penny) Thompson, David Thompson, Vicki Love, and Mark Thompson.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, July 28, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a prayer service Thursday evening all at Valerie Panciera’s Landmark Funeral Home.

Joan Lee Scheidell, 85, of Hollywood passed away June 13, 2025. Survived by sons Mark (Jeanne) Kovacs and Michael (Maria) Kovacs; daughters Suzanne (Joe) Domenech and Denise (Jim) Ordonez; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Services will be private.
Martha Clementi, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 23, 2025, at the age of 97 in Hollywood, FL.
David James Bushing, born November 18, 1968, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025 at the age of 56 after a nearly three year battle with brain cancer.
Kathleen Sylvester, 82, of Coral Springs, FL. passed away on June 18, 2025.
An honoring of her life will take place at Landmark Funeral Home in Hollywood, Florida on June 29, 2025 between 1:00-3:00 pm.
