Victor Wesley Lappe

January 7, 1972 - November 5, 2025

Victor Wesley Lappe, 53, of Hollywood, FL, passed away November 5, 2025.

He is survived by sister Katherine, Aunt Barbara Res and cousins Peter, Julie, Roberta, Stephen, David, Janet, Michael and Andrew.

Mr. Lappe graduated from Rutgers University with a Baccalaureate degree in Marketing and Management. He received Associate Degrees in Liberal Arts and Para Legal Studies from Bergen Community College and Key College. Victor also studied at Clarkson University and University of Vermont.

Victor excelled at several sports, representing his school and hometown in Baseball, Basketball, Bowling and Soccer.  Victor loved to work and play outside in nature, in all seasons. He was an accomplished skier and mountain biker.  Victor was also an avid sports fan. Enjoying all the teams, Victor never missed a Panther’s game and attended several in person.

As a professional, he served as a Manager for Sprint where he was honored with several Employee awards, consistently being named employee of the month. His booming career was cut short by the worsening of his epilepsy. Victor never let this horrible illness shut him down. His commercial successes, notwithstanding, he would tell you that his most rewarding work was volunteering at Spectrum for Living with victims of Cerebral Palsy. He was adored by and changed the lives of many of the patients and won the admiration of the medical staff.  When he moved to Florida, he quickly became one of the outstanding members of the community. Everyone knew him, and news of his death was devastating to all.

In everything he did, he was loved and admired. Although not a teacher, Victor enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others, especially young children who followed him around like a pied piper. He gave of himself in every way he could.  His friends and coworkers knew him to be kindhearted, intelligent, hardworking and a bit of a daredevil, who made them smile and laugh during even the hardest of times.  Making others happy was ultimately his vocation.  And with these accomplishments, Victor made his mark in the world.  He will be remembered forever by all upon whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Victor’s name to the Epilepsy Foundation

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 11, 2025, 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Landmark Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 11:00am at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood, FL
