William "Bill" Hudson, III

November 24, 1947 - January 28, 2024


William A. Hudson III , 76, of Hollywood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the morning of January 28, 2024. He was born November 24, 1947 to William and Gloria (Manere) Hudson in Norwalk, Connecticut.    Bill graduated from mortuary school in 1971 and made his career as a funeral director for over 50 years. His calm and caring demeanor proved a source of comfort to countless families as he helped them through difficult times with the loss of their loved ones.   
He is survived by Dianne, his wife of 56 years, son Richard (Gina), daughters Kimberly (Chris) Finley and Christine (Jason) Becher, brother Jack Hudson, sister Judith Ann (William) Palmer, his grandchildren Holly, Hannah and Benjamin as well as several nieces and nephews. 
The family will be receiving friends at Landmark Funeral Home, 4200 Hollywood Boulevard, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, with a prayer service at 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection is scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday, February 3, at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson Street, Hollywood. Interment will take place at a later date at the Assumption Cemetery in Westport, Connecticut.
