July 29, 1945 - October 21, 2025

William “Bill” Henry Yanke Jr., passed away surrounded by his family on October 21, 2025, in Aventura, Florida, at the age of 80.
Born on July 29, 1945, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Bill was the son of the late William and Beatrice (Foss) Yanke. He was raised in Eau Claire and graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire in 1967, where he met the love of his life, Margaret. The two were married shortly after college and shared 57 years of love, laughter, and partnership while raising their 3 daughters.
A proud American and patriot, Bill served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, where he flew the F-8 Crusader as a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War. His courage, dedication, and love of country were always evident in the way he lived his life.
Following his military service, Bill built a successful career in business, serving for over two decades as Director of Sales at Sharp Electronics. He and his family lived in Wayne, New Jersey for over 20 years before relocating to Aventura, Florida, where he continued working with AAAA World and Hot Wireless.
A devout Catholic, Bill’s faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He was a family man above all—most joyful when surrounded by those he loved. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren and found joy in simple pleasures like a good round of golf with his golf buddies and conversations filled with laughter.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret (Enderle); his daughters Kirstin Yanke, Kylie (Bill) Duff, Katie Yanke and fiancé Mike Brandt; his beloved grandchildren, Grace, Faith, and CJ Duff; his brother, Mike (Robbin) Yanke, brother-in-law Dick (Kaye) Enderle as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by their infant daughter Julia.
His strength, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 3rd, 10 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 542 Blue Heron Drive, Hallandale Beach, FL followed by interment with Military Honors at 1 pm at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL.
