Albert Leo Lussier, 82 of Hollywood passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Al was born on August 31,1943 in Central Falls, RI to Ovila and Bertha Lussier. He graduated from Pawtucket Vocational and enlisted in the Navy and served his country for 4 years.
On January 30, 1971, Al married Lucille (LeBlanc) and together raised 6 children. Al enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, and watching the Florida Panthers win the Stanley Cup in 2024/2025.
His life can be defined by an abundance of love, kindness, faith, and dedication to the people he cared about most. A man grounded in his strong Catholic Faith, a deep love for God, trusting in His guidance and showing through his actions, the values of compassion, humility, forgiveness, and service to others. Al touched the lives of everyone around him; even playing Santa Claus for the Pediatric Cancer Unit at Palm West Pediatrics.
Al is survived by his loving wife Lou of 55 years, along with his 6 children: Renee, Darniele and spouse Joe, Lisa and spouse Patrick, Todd, Scott and spouse Karen, Casey and spouse Melinda, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.
A mass service will be held at Nativity Catholic Church on Friday June 26th @ 10:00 a.m. with a reception immediately following. A private family Veteran’s burial will follow at South Florida Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth.
In lieu of flowers, a Glorious Mystery Garden is being created in memory of Albert Lussier. A tax-deductible foundation is being established for donation to this memory garden. Information to follow.
