Anna Petty

June 11, 1928 - July 15, 2024

Anna Petty, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished member of the Hollywood, Florida community, passed away peacefully at home on July 15th. She is predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Joe, her brother John, and her sister Barbara. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that touched the lives of all who knew her.
Anna was born June 11, 1928 in Elizabeth, NJ to John and Barbara Tkach. She spent many of her early years in Slovakia. She met her husband Joseph Petty in Linden, NJ where they had their four children.
Anna will be dearly missed by her sister in Slovakia Maria Molnarova, her children Anka, Lorraine (Gordon), Christine, and Joe (Sue), her grandchildren, Erik (Liz), Elliot, Evan (Megan), Joshua, Jake, Joey (Maria), and Jason (Karie), and her two great grandchildren.
Beyond her family, Anna was known for her generosity and warmth. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a knack for making everyone feel welcome in her presence. Her smile was infectious, and her laughter filled the room with joy. Anna was an excellent cook and enjoyed making sure her family and all visitors were full upon leaving her home.
Anna's departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished and her legacy will live on through the lives she touched.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her and the memories of those she leaves behind.
