                                                         May 25, 1941 - September 17, 2025

In Loving Memory of David Worley

David (“Dave”) Lewis Worley, of Cooper City, Florida

passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025 at the age of 84 years old,

after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Dave was born on May 25, 1941 in Bolt, West Virginia to

 Denzil Delmar Worley and Pearl Beatrice Blankenbeckler.

As a boy, he grew up on his family’s homestead in the West Virginia

countryside – West By God Virginia as he would often say.

His family relocated to Miami, Florida when he was in his early

teenage years. He attended Miami Edison High School.

In 1962, he married the love of his life, Madeline Simile. His reallife

girl next door, they lived happily and inseparable for over 63

beautiful years. Together they raised two daughters, Darla and

Rhonda. In the early years of their marriage. Dave served in the

United States Air Force where he was stationed in Cheyenne,

Wyoming and attended telecommunications school in Wichita

Falls, Texas. He went on to work for Bellsouth (formerly Southern Bell);

and retired in 2002 with over 40 years of dedicated service.

Dave was a devout Christian who loved Jesus and his family

above all. He strongly valued his roles as a devoted husband,

father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, always there to

support, guide, and teach everyone how to lead with love.

He was a great friend and neighbor to all, and a stranger to no one.

He was an avid boater who loved to free dive, spear fish,

scuba dive, and truly enjoyed all his time out on the water with his

family and friends. He was an accomplished runner, from

marathons to corporate relays to running just for the joy of it.

He was also a dedicated cyclist who rode 100 miles a week.

It was easy to see that Dave lived his life to the fullest. He will be missed

deeply by all who knew and loved him but his legacy will live on.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Denzil and Beatrice;

and his siblings, Karen and Denny.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Madeline; his children,

Darla (Robin) and Rhonda (Tim); his grandchildren, Tiffany (Stephen),

Raquel, Landen, Douglas, and Caryn; his great-grandchildren,

Austin, Braden, and Caylin; his brother, Britt; his sister, Sylvia (Evans);

and many more beloved friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at

6:00pm at Landmark Funeral Home in Hollywood, Florida.

We will gather to honor Dave’s memory and rejoice in the promise of

everlasting life. In God’s light, may we all find comfort.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
