In Loving Memory of Floare Bonca
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Floare Bonca on August 7, 2024, after a long and courageous battle. Floare went to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion.
Born on May 26, 1933, in Romania, Floare was the beloved only child of Gheorghe and Ana Pintea. Tragically, she became an orphan at the tender age of four when her father passed away from tuberculosis. Despite this early hardship, Floare grew into a strong and determined woman.
At 21, Floare married the love of her life, Iustin Bonca. Together, they were blessed with two children, Iustin, who is married to Dana (and together they have three children: Andrei, Cindy, and Alex), and Sabin, who sadly predeceased her.
In her forties, Floare and her husband made the brave decision to emigrate to the United States in search of a better life for their family. Through hard work and perseverance, they succeeded in building a loving home filled with warmth and generosity.
Floare is survived by her devoted husband, son Iustin, her daughter-in-law Dana, and her cherished grandchildren, Andrei, Cindy, and Alex. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Norica and her family, as well as two brothers-in-law, Teodor and Nicolae, and their families.
Floare's passions in life included sewing, cooking, and baking. She was renowned for her delicious "plăcintă," a traditional Romanian pastry, which she joyfully shared with friends and loved ones. Her generosity and warmth touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Floare's strength, love, and kindness will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Floare. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved you.
