Giovonne Chavez McGill

February 16, 1997 - December 16, 2023

Giovonne Chavez McGill, 26, loving son, brother and significant other, transitioned into eternal life on December 16, 2023. He was born In Kansas City, Missouri on February 16, 1997 to Dyshawn Phillips and Taneshia McGill.
Giovonne will always be remembered for his outgoing and fun loving spirit. His sunny disposition brought sunshine into everyone’s life. He enjoyed playing basketball and boxing with his brothers, fast cars and watching sporting events.
Survivors include his parents Taneshia McGill and Dyshawn Mitchell-Phillips, brothers Dyshawn, Terrion, Drequan, Dy’von and Da’Vionne Mitchell-Phillips, Malieke Taylor, sister Yolanda McGill, girlfriend Judith Sanz, grandparents Robert Irby and Pamela Conrad, great grandmother, Maggie Tucker, uncles Shamar and Stacy Conrad, aunt Arlene and Darlene McGill, niece Brooklyn Hanna and several extended family members.
Giovonne’s life will be honored at a Memorial Gathering of family and friends on Sunday, December 31, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Landmark Funeral Home, 4200 Hollywood Boulevard.
