John Clarence Wertz

April 27, 1944 - December 21, 2023

John Clarence Wertz, 79, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his Fort Lauderdale home on December 21, 2023. He was surrounded by love while embraced by his fiancee and life partner of 20 years, Charlee (Charlene) Oliver. John made his profession teaching and taught in Broward County Middle Schools. He was admired and adored by his students who have fond memories and are quoted saying, "Mr. Wertz is The Best!". John was also a car enthusiast, hobbyist and enjoyed travel, yard sales and his beloved dogs. John will be remembered for his intelligence, quick wit, gentle and kind spirit, sense of humor, strength, integrity, generosity and award winning smile. John is loved and will be greatly missed.
