The family will be receiving friends for an 11:00 am Gathering and 11:30 Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Valerie Panciera’s Landmark Funeral Home, 4200 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, FL.


JOHN J. BREAZ, 69, of Pembroke Pines, passed away May 3, 2022. From an early age he became interested in boating and worked part-time during college as a ship’s mate. This led to his securing a United States Coast Guard license. John also held a license as an Officer in the U.S. Merchant Marine. He also held a “Master” License for vessel operation and held numerous other certificates pertaining to Maritime Law and furthering his career as a yacht captain.


John was preceded in death by his parents John and Lucy Manta Breaz and brothers Alex and Robert. He is survived by sister Mary Lou Breaz, aunt Ann Dolyk, cousins Zack (Wendy) Dolyk, Debbie (Michael) Filbert, Diane (William) Nahorn, Jean (Jay) Rounds and cousin Matt Nahorn.
