Rosalie Anne Taborsky

Rosalie Anne "Rose" Taborsky, age 91, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023. Rosalie, wife of the late John Taborsky, was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Rosalie Anne (Mark) Modzelewski, and stepdaughters Patricia (Randy) Hough and the late Nancy (Daniel) Diehl.
While working as a pharmacy technician for many years in Lansdowne, Rosalie built many friendships with neighbors and community members throughout the area. When not working, you could find her down the shore at her sister Katherine’s house during warmer months, preparing a welcoming retreat for families and friends as well as getting in a little beach time and some good seafood. She will be remembered always for her kind and joyful personality along with her willingness to help others when in need.
She will also be remembered for her love of gardening alongside her mother, Rosalie, in their large yard in Yeadon, PA. Their flower beds, which included dahlias, zinnias, daisies, tiger lilies and many others, brought the joy of color into everyone’s world. When she moved to Florida to be closer to her daughter’s family, she enjoyed spending time outside admiring and caring for orchids and was entrusted in keeping the backyard iguanas away from the blooms. Her energy and love for life will be greatly missed.
She was the daughter of the late Michael and Rosalie (Malecz) Kernicky and sister of the late Katherine and Margaret Kernicky.
Rosalie is survived by her 6 siblings: Michael, Joe, Mary Rahn, Paul, Gregory and John Kernicky and her two grandsons, Mark Henry, Jr. and John Michael Modzelewski, and many nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly. A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21, preceded by a 9:30 am eulogy at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Lansdowne, PA. Rosalie will be laid to rest at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
