Salvador (Sal) F. De Bruno, a resident of Hollywood, passed away on July 29 at the age of 88. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After graduating from high school, he met the woman of his dreams, Amelia, his wife of 61 years. Wanting to provide a better life for his family, Salvador moved to the United States, encouraging his daughters to study and go as far as they could go.
Salvador loved to travel, mainly to the land of his ancestors, Italy, enjoyed cooking and a good glass of wine and engaging in lengthy discussions about politics and other current topics with anybody who wanted to listen. Sal loved his family, was proud of his daughters and grandchildren and adored his wife. Sal is survived by his wife, Amelia and his daughters, Giselle Jamison, Ph.D. (Mike, CPA), Cynthia Weller, MD (Skip, MD) and Valerie Lannon, PsyD (Pat, JD) and his beloved grandchildren, Gigi, Jenny, Meghan, Kelly, PJ, Sergei, and Ilya.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 4, 6-8 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Landmark Funeral Home. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 10:00 am at Nativity Catholic Church.
