Theodore "Teddy" McMorrough
November 2, 1949 — March 29, 2026

Theodore “Teddy” Lawrence McMorrough, 76, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away on March 29, 2026, at Bethesda Hospital East. He was born on November 2, 1949, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and lived a life that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Teddy was a man of faith, and fierce competitive spirit. There was never any doubt Teddy was an Irishman — full of heart, humor, and a fiery spirit that never backed down. Teddy held his faith in Christ dear, and it was a source of great meaning and comfort in his life.
On the tennis court, Teddy was a force to be reckoned with. He competed at the collegiate level for the University of Tennessee and never lost his passion or his competitive edge for the game he loved. That love for tennis was first sparked by his Uncle Earl, his mentor and lifelong best friend, who put a racket in his hand and changed his life.
Teddy proudly served his country as an officer in the United States Army and was a lifelong fan of Tennessee Volunteers and Miami Dolphins football.
Teddy was preceded in death by his grandparents T.B. (Mac) and Ruth McMorrough, his Uncle Earl Bamgardner, his sister Ann McMorrough, and his parents Edmond L. (Ed) McMorrough and Phyllis Wroten.
He is survived by his children, beloved grandchildren, his sisters, nephews, and the many friends whose lives he touched.
Ted was loved by many — and will be missed by all.
