IN LOVING MEMORY OF JULIAN ALFONSO DÁVILA

Julian Alfonso Dávila entered into eternal rest on March 20, 2026, in Pembroke Pines, Florida, at the age of 89, surrounded by the love of his family and the grace of God.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Alicia; his children, Edgar, Gianina, and Julian; and his cherished grandchildren, Christian, Alexandra, Becky, Vanessa, and Veronica, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his life. He was preceded in death by his beloved cousin, Teófila.

Julian was born on December 9, 1936, in Surco, Lima, Peru, to Agustín and Mercedes Dávila. Raised in humble circumstances, he became the first in his family to pursue higher education, graduating from Guadalupe School and earning his degree in Dentistry from the National University of San Marcos. His life was a testament to perseverance, discipline, and unwavering faith.

In 1964, he married the love of his life, Alicia. Together, they built a home rooted in love, faith, and strong values. As a dentist, Julian was deeply respected for his kindness, patience, and dedication to caring for others.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Julian was a man who led by example. He instilled in his family the importance of education, integrity, and faith, always encouraging them to grow, learn, and live with purpose. His legacy in dentistry continues through his children, Julian and Edgar, and his grandchildren Vanessa, Alexandra, and Christian, who have followed in his professional footsteps. His commitment to service and care is also reflected in his daughter Gianina, his granddaughters Rebecca and Veronica, who are all in the medical field.

Later in life, he and his wife moved to the United States, where he lived with his daughter Gianina and lovingly helped raise his grandchildren Rebecca and Veronica, guiding them with wisdom, discipline, and unconditional love.

A man of deep faith, Julian found great comfort in prayer. He faithfully prayed the Rosary each evening at 6:00 p.m. with his wife and Teito, entrusting his life and family to Our Blessed Mother.

Julian had a joyful spirit and found happiness in simple pleasures. He loved kung fu and especially enjoyed watching Ip Man 2, a film he returned to many times. He delighted in solving Sudoku puzzles, playing with tongue twisters, telling jokes, and sharing stories. He loved to speak and often gave heartfelt speeches to his family, leaving lasting impressions through his words.

He cherished time with his family above all else and found joy in simple moments shared with loved ones. He held a deep love for his country, its traditions, and its music.

He also had a deep love for nature and spent countless hours caring for his yard, tending to plants and flowers with patience and pride. A faithful companion in his later years was his beloved dog, Rosy, who brought him great comfort and joy. They were always together, and she lovingly stayed by his side, often resting at his feet. Rosy was a true companion and a meaningful part of his recovery and daily life.

He was also an active member of the Gran Logia del Peru, where he lived out values of brotherhood, charity, and service.

Julian will be remembered as a kind, peaceful, and loving man whose presence brought warmth to all who knew him. Though his health declined in recent years, he carried himself with strength and dignity, supported by the love of his family.

Though we mourn his passing, we find comfort in knowing he now rests in the peace of the Lord.

Services to honor Julian’s life will be held as follows:

Mass: Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, 1805 Pierce Street, Hollywood, FL 33020.

Julian Alfonso Dávila will forever live in our hearts.
