Virgilio Antonio Batista

June 4, 1948 - May 20, 2023

Mr. Virgilio Batista peacefully passed at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital on May 20th, 2023, at the age of 74 in Aventura, Florida.
Virgilio Batista was born on June 4th, 1948, in La Vega, Dominican Republic, to Rosa Linda Marmolejos and Federico Anthonio Batista.
He was married to Rosa Batista. Virgilio had six kids Edwin, Virgilio Jr., Gelpis, Rosy, Joel, and Hector.
He was a delightful man who loved seeing people smile; for many years, while working at Homestead Flea Market, he was famous for his special fresh fruit juices and the fresh fruit he had cut with his wife daily. He was the man that gave you a "free" napkin, utensil, and straw and wouldn't forget to let you know that you were his number one customer with every purchase.
He was always full of jokes and ensured everyone in his surroundings knew they were living their best life. He always asks his family, "How do you live so well" his family answers typically, "Well, it's because we are Batista's." With that response, he smiled and laughed so much.
He was a fantastic grandfather! With all his heart, Virgilio loved his seven grandchildren, Franchesca, Tygeliz, Geyris, Virgilio III, Genesis, Raymond, and Sebastian Batista. He ensured they always knew he wanted to live like them when he grew up, even though he was a grown adult. As a grandfather, he assured his grandchildren always knew he was one phone call away and would shower them with love constantly.
Virgilio would come to his son Gelpis and his daughter-in-law Rhadinny's house joyfully to eat his favorite daughter-in-law's food that she always prepared for him and his wife, Rosa. Vigilio also enjoyed time with his grandchildren Franchesca, Geyris, and Genesis near the pool when coming to his son's house.
Vigilio had a heart of gold when it came down to all the people he surrounded himself with. You were always guaranteed a great big smile when you saw him. He loved all, no matter what. He may not be with us anymore but left everyone with many great memories. He will always be watching over us. We love you, Virgilio, husband, father, and grandfather.
