In Loving Memory of Adelinson Pettersen
Adelinson Pettersen, beloved husband, father, brother, and son, passed peacefully in Hollywood, FL, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 16, 1990, in Miami, Florida, to his parents, Ademilson Pettersen and Matilda Canales.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Chesca Pettersen, and his two beautiful children, Charles Pettersen and Summer Bague, who meant everything to him. He is survived by his siblings Stephanie Pettersen, Christina Pettersen, Patricia Pettersen, Jackie Andino, Carlos Andino, and is lovingly remembered alongside his brother, Henry Andino. Adelinson’s life was a beautiful testament to faith, love, strength, optimism, and kindness.
Adelinson was the kind of man who made life feel steady and safe. He was humble, patient, and strong — truly the rock of his family. He kept things calm, always chose positivity, and faced life with courage. As a father, his patience was inspiring. He disciplined with love, guided with wisdom, and loved his children fully and unconditionally. As a husband, he was romantic, thoughtful, and always found ways to show his love. He and his wife were true soulmates, sharing a love that was genuine, strong, and lifelong.
His faith was the foundation of who he was. Adelinson loved God wholeheartedly and trusted Him completely, even through illness and suffering. He never blamed God or lost faith. Instead, he leaned into grace, love, and trust.
In high school, Adelinson joined the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Corps, where his leadership stood out. He earned the rank of Cadet Captain, one of only two captains in his graduating class and one of just four captains in the battalion’s history. His dedication and character were recognized through honors such as the Military Officers Association Award, the Sons of the American Revolution Award, and Distinguished Cadet Awards.
Adelinson later attended Miami Dade College, studying Business Management, and went on to build a successful career in Revenue Management within the hospitality industry. Over more than a decade, he worked in many roles and poured his heart into his work. His passion and positive impact were felt by everyone around him, earning him Team Member of the Month in September 2025.
Outside of work and family, Adelinson loved the things that made life fun. He proudly cheered for Manchester United, enjoyed watching WWE, and always had something to say when it came to politics — he loved a good conversation and a good debate. He loved the beach, getaways, traveling, concerts, comedy shows, and trying new restaurants, and he cherished every chance to laugh and make memories.
Adelinson was loved by so many — friends, colleagues, and anyone who had the joy of knowing him. He was simply likable, with an incredible sense of humor and a natural ability to make people laugh. He brought warmth, happiness, and light wherever he went. He loved with his whole heart — his family, friends, and relatives always felt that love.
The family is very grateful to the doctors, nurses, and specialists at University of Miami Health System, Memorial Regional Hospital and to the AccentCare care team for their compassion, support, and devoted care.
Adelinson’s life was one of faith, love, laughter, and strength. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.
